What if I want to cancel my service?

CareTeam does not require that you sign a contract with us.  There is no minimum service commitment required, and you can call to stop services at any time.

Who is a typical CareTeam Client?

Our clients are usually – but not always!- senior adults.  They often live alone and need need some extra assistance at home.  Most clients wants to remain independent in their own home, without having to move into a senior community or nursing center.

Do you give past-client referrences?

Some of our clients have volunteered on their own accord to be a reference for others who are interested in starting care with CareTeam — and we couldn’t be more proud!!  If you are interested in talking to a current or former client, please contact the office nearest you.

Is your agency insured?

Our agency is licensed, bonded, and insured.  Further, our employees are covered by CareTeam’s Employee Injury Benefit Plan.  We are insured and bonded, and we assume all of the risk of a caregiver injury in the home.

Is there a charge for an evaluation?

No!  We offer a free in-home consultation so you can meet one of our service directors face-to-face and so we can understand exactly what services you need or want in your home.  No strings attached!  Learn more about in-home consultations…

Can CareTeam services still be used once hospice comes in?

Yes. We have worked along with hospice and Medicare home health successfully for years.

Are CareTeam services available only in the home?

No. We have many clients at assisted living, independent living and health care facilities.  Learn more about living facility services…

Is a physician referral required?

While many physicians recommend us, we do not require a referral.

What form of payment do you take?

We are not a Medicare agency. We do not accept Medicare. Our services are covered by private payment, and often by your long-term care or health insurance as well as possible veteran’s benefits and sometimes others.  We will provide all necessary paperwork for you to file against your insurance policy.

For your convenience, we do accept payment by credit card, bank draft, or by invoice/check.

Is the patient required to be homebound to receive CareTeam services?

No. We accompany many of our clients to the grocery store, the mall, the hair dresser and much more.
